World Culture Awareness Programme
The World Culture Awareness Programme (WCAP) is organized by Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education in cooperation with POSTECH. This program provides POSTECH international members with the opportunity to introduce their home countries’ cultures to Korean students at local elementary, and middle schools. Participants will be paired with Korean translators who will be selected by POSTECH International Relations. Participants and translators will visit local schools together as a team, and introduce Korean students their home country’s culture, traditions, and history. This program will ultimately enhance students’ understanding and respect the cultures of other countries.
- Compensation for participants will vary depending on the distance of the assigned school as below.

KRW 40,000 per participant
(KRW 70,000 for two consecutive classes at same school)
Jangki Elementary School
KRW 110,000 per participant
for two consecutive classes at same school
- Mini-presentation Session
Final participants will be selected through a mini-presentation session with the staff of International Relations. Applicants will be giving a mini-presentation on their home countries’ culture, and experience-based activities (e.g. craft, games, dance, etc.). As this is only a mini-presentation, the presentation should be 5 min at maximum. Please include the available time in the application form for the mini-presentation session. The selected final participants will be notified via e-mail.
